We are proud to announce the recent transaction of one of the most significant unicorns we’ve ever had the honor of handling – a never-driven, non-adjust Ferrari F40 originally ordered by a Saudi tarmac magnate.
Rather than collecting the car, the F40 remained with the factory and was personally cared for by Luca Cordera di Montezemelo, the then-chairman of Ferrari, for an entire decade. After the turn of the millennium, the car was acquired by the renowned Miura collection in Japan, where it resided until 2014.
The third and final owner of this coveted F40 is a distinguished Ferrari collector based in Hong Kong. Notably, this F40 was submitted for Ferrari Classiche certification and received confirmation of its matching-numbers chassis, engine, and gearbox. The car has been meticulously maintained by the official Ferrari service center in Hong Kong since 2014, with documented works including the replacement of the fuel tanks in 2020.
Perhaps most impressively, this F40 has an incredibly low mileage of only 749km at the time of the transaction as of today March 3rd 2023, a rare feat for a car of its age.
Ferrari expert Marcel Massini has confirmed the car’s authenticity and exceptional condition, making it a genuine rarity in the world of vintage cars.
Accompanied by its original leather documentation pouch containing the factory user manuals, warranty card, and service book, this virginal Ferrari F40 is truly one-of-a-kind.
